Ladies and Gentlemen, as President of the Central West Rugby Union, it is my honour to welcome you to the Narromine Rugby Club who are hosting the New Holland Cup and Women’s North Cup Grand Finals. Today marks the culmination of an incredible season filled with fierce competition, outstanding sportsmanship, and the true spirit of rugby.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all our volunteers, whose tireless efforts behind the scenes have made this season possible. Your dedication and hard work are the backbone of the rugby community, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

To our players, your commitment, passion, and skill have brought us to this exciting finale. You’ve given your all, week in and week out, and your efforts have been nothing short of inspiring.

To our sponsors New Holland, thank you for your support of these competitions and the union. Without this fantastic sponsorship we are unable to provide the services to our clubs that we do.

As we gather here to witness these thrilling matches between Mudgee and Parkes in the Women’s and then Narromine and Mudgee in both Men’s grades, I wish all teams the very best of luck. May the games reflect your hard work and dedication. Make sure you leave everything on the field. However more importantly enjoy each other’s company and share a well-earned beer afterwards.

Thank you all for being a part of this wonderful day and let’s enjoy some fantastic rugby.

Luke Humphreys

As the 2025 season comes to a close I would like to thank Jarrod and the CWRU team for putting together this season of rugby, it’s a tough job and without it we wouldn’t be here today playing rugby.

Congratulations and thank you to Molong, CSU, Blayney and Yeoval. It has been a successful season and competition wouldn’t happen without the hard work that goes into your clubs and teams, we will see you all next year for another exciting season. Congratulations to the ladies from Mudgee, you are a class team and once again find yourselves in the Grand Final. Goodluck on the day, I know our ladies are looking forward to the contest.

To our supporters and sponsors, thank you for supporting us through the 2025 season. Without the support we wouldn’t be in the position we are so we are very grateful to have it.

Lastly congratulations to our ladies from Parkes, the Boars are very lucky to have you. You have blown the expectations for 2025 out of the water and once again found yourself in the Grand Final. I wish you all the best of luck, you ladies have worked tremendously hard and overcome some serious obstacles to be here this year and I know that makes everyone here extremely proud.
